"All You Need is (God's) Love"

“All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles has become a catchphrase that our society has put a lot of romantic emphasis on. But, this phrase cannot compare to the depth of God’s love that is given to each of us. John, known as the Apostle of love, wrote:

"Beloved let us love one another for love is from God: and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."   - I John.4:7

This goes beyond a romantic love. The love of God constitutes a Love that encompasses; compassion (care for the wellbeing of others), loyalty (a sense of unwavering commitment), mercy (the ability to forgive wrongs) and sacrifice (the giving of oneself despite personal pain or loss). The Apostle John recognizes that this kind of love can only come from God. Human attempts at this love comes short.

God’s Love flows to us and through us to others. Statistics report that 93% of our communication is non-verbal, therefore, God’s Love flowing through us validates the message of Salvation we carry to the world around us. A heart that experiences God’s Love will be demonstrated in all they do and shows compassion for a lost world, loyalty that transcends wrongs, mercy that forgives and wants the best for people, and self-sacrifice as demonstrated by Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.
