WHBC’s Caring Ministry “A Servant's Heart”

WHBC's Caring Ministry reaches out into the church and community to extend the loving hand of Jesus Christ, meeting people in the midst of their trials. This ministry is under the supervision of the Deacon Ministry Team and leads a team of volunteers who feel called to minister to the needs of people in this way.

If you are part of the church family at WHBC, you can receive hands-on support from this Ministry Team.

If you are not part of the WHBC church family, and have a need, you can receive support through our Deacon’s Fund, or through referrals to appropriate resources in the local community.  In all cases, we seek to minister to the whole person-body, spirit and mind. If you are in need, and would like to see if WHBC’s Caring Ministry can help you, contact the Pastor or a Deacon.

Mission Statement: WHBC's Caring Ministry “A Servant's Heart” strives to minister to families and individuals seeking the physical or spiritual needs for everyday life such as housing, personal items, utility bills, gas cards, food, visitation, prayer etc., by linking them to the appropriate resources. We strive to come together in relationship with each family or individual by showing the compassion and love of Jesus Christ.

Vision Statement: The vision for WHBC's Caring Ministry is to share the Love of Jesus in tangible ways -

focusing on the needs of the church family and our immediate community.

*We will accomplish this through our own resources, and in partnership with social agencies utilizing the individual's own resources and by using a Christian-based perspective to enrich people’s lives now but always with a Kingdom perspective.

Along with this vision, we hold to the following goals:

To provide a caring team of volunteers to come alongside each family or individual, Christian and non-Christian.

To provide those we minister to an opportunity to grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically in their walk with Christ.

We are always looking for people who are gifted and we offer a variety of opportunities to serve.  Identified below are several ways that you might be able to reach out in the name of Christ to “your neighbor.”  If there is something that you can do that is not listed please share that with one of the Deacons.
