I always have mixed feelings about Fathers Day… for one my my dad is not around any more and of course I wish he was… and, I tend to beat myself up about my own dad game…
Not sure where you are with Fathers Day, but let me take some pressure off of you. Of course you can always do things different and struggle with your mind game to keep you sane BUT…
You don’t have to carry the pressure of being a perfect dad. Instead, point your kids to the One who already is the perfect Father!
Our Heavenly Father is the ultimate example of how to forgive and sacrificially love, and show grace and patience, and in the end is all our children need. He is completely everything we need!
1 John 4:19- "We love because He first loved us."
Today as you think about your own dad game… and your children and family… think through how you are pointing your family to God. The best Father they will ever know.
