Have you ever just wanted one thing…? I just want to nap… I just want the laundry done… I just want to be in shape… I just want… fill in the blank. And it becomes all you think about; you almost obsess about it… there are a lot of things that play into what we want… BUT what happens when you get what you want…you get the nap… are you satisfied? Was it long enough, did someone wake you up. Most times it’s never as good as we thought, it seems to keep us wanting more.
Have you ever wanted nothing else but to just be in the presence of Jesus? I recently heard this song by Cody Carnes… check out some of the lyrics.

We can try this other stuff, which isn’t necessarily bad, but it doesn’t satisfy us. Jesus satisfies us… Jesus is enough… Jesus fulfills us every single time!
What would happen if this week… we purposefully made time to just be with Jesus… in His presence? (But I don’t have time) knowing that He is everything you need seems like it makes it worth the effort.
Read through these couple of verses as you spend purposeful time with Jesus this week…
For He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things.
In Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11)
