Mission Trip Overview

I am excited to tell you all that we had an incredible Mission Trip! We would not have been able to accomplish as much as we did if it wasn’t for YOU praying for us. I got a few texts through out the week from people telling me they were praying for us and I am so thankful! We had some people donate some crucial items for us, which made our week easier. So THANK YOU for taking time and remembering us in prayer!
Here is what one of our teens had to say,

”Back from what was a truly amazing mission trip up in Flint. Spending a week with my second family making a difference, that will be something I will never forget.”

It is experiences like mission trips and retreats that help teens have incredible times with God. I love that I have a front row seat to watch teens grow and step out of their comfort zone with Jesus. I am so proud of this group of teens for giving up a week of their summer to serve the people of Flint. I am warning you right now…these teens are going to continue do big things for Jesus as they continue to grow.
Our theme verse for the week was Micah 6:8-

"The Lord has told you what is good,
and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God."

This is a great verse for us all as we live our lives day to day. To do what is right, to love mercy, and to be humble…can we apply these three things at work? Or at home? What about doing these things when we are celebrating holidays with our friends? I hope this verse speaks to you this week like it did for us last week.
